A program called ALPS Adventure Play which is being offered for children 4-5 years old will be held at the Spire Nursery School once a week from 11:45 to 12:30 every Wednesday.
This program is limited to 15 students so if you want your child to experience working with others, have organized play time and structured activities, this is the place for them. By George Yearick
Over the years I have attended a number of military funerals, including a recent one for my brother, Cmdr. H.F. Yearick who passed away two years ago. He was a Chaplain stationed in Tinian when the Enola Gay took off with the first A-bomb; in fact he conducted a prayer service for Capt. Tibbetts and the crew the night before. At his funeral which was full military, the only military aspect was a tape of Taps. I thought at the time if this had been in Troy there would have been the usual large group of Vets, all in uniform with rifles and flags appropriate for the event. These men perform whether it is 10 below in the winter or 1910 in the summer. My salute to you along with many, many other grateful citizens.
