Hospitals earning the Emergency Care Award consistently rank in the top 25 percent of hospitals reporting on their emergency department’s performance to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). The eight measures CMS publicly reports relate primarily to the amount of time taken in the ER such as time for diagnosis, medication, and admission to the hospital, and are weighted according to the priorities of women surveyed. Spring clean up for borough residents will continue until May 26, with pickup on Tuesdays only. Bagged leaves and naturally fallen bundled branches that can be handled by one person will be picked up by borough employees when put by the curbside. Note: only items listed above will be picked up and only when left at curbside. This is for lawn debris only, not cut down trees, garden clean out, garbage, etc. Also: the Troy Borough property on Farmers Valley Road will be open on May 23rd, from 1-3 pm for receipt of larger branches, limbs and natural debris not picked up by the borough. Chemung Financial Corporation (Nasdaq:CHMG), the holding company of Chemung Canal Trust Company and CFS Group, Inc., announced that its Shareholders have re-elected four members to the corporation's Board of Directors. The announcement was made May 7th, during the Corporation's Annual Shareholders Meeting.

The top TOPs loser was Joyce with a five pound loss. The top KOPS member was Marilyn with a 1 1/2 pound loss. The fruit basket was shared by Marilyn and Joyce. The Quarter Game was won by Mary Lou. This Is Your Week Winners were Brenda and Betty. Runner up was Velma with 3 1/2 pounds. The No-No food for the week is sweets; the Yes-Yes food is yogurt. Challenge for the week is to keep the menu. The 3 Xs were drawn by Betty, Sally, and Jim B. The meeting was closed with the Helping Hand verse. On May 2, Krystle Bristol, President of the Troy Borough Council, submitted this letter referring to her decision to resign from that position.
Her resignation was prompted by her recent appointment as Bradford County Auditor, a position potentially incompatible with membership on Borough Council: Club Wins Two Awards; Brooke Ostrander Awarded Club Scholarship Registration is now open for the June 15-19, 2015 Troy Youth Arts Camp. The Arts camp is open to all students who have finished Kindergarten through Sixth Grade. It is a week long day camp that has 2 sessions. The morning session is from 9:00 - 11:30 and the afternoon session is from 12:30 - 3:00. You may choose the session that works best for your schedule.
![]() Amberleigh Packard, Bradford County 4-H Educator and two of her club members Cassie Bennett and Logan Cole spoke at a recent meeting of the Troy Lions Club, discussing the many programs that 4-H offers. The Lions donated $750 to this worthy cause with part of the donation going to the 4-H Exchange and the other going to the 4-H Forever Endowment Fund. The exchange program allows the Bradford County Club to visit and tour a club in another state. The kids stay with host families and see what the other clubs are like. The following year, the club from the other state comes to Bradford County.
